Here for sale we have an absolutely stunning Gibson Les Paul Standard Premium Quilt Electric Guitar from 2015 in a Gloss Lacquer Honeyburst Perimeter finish. Limited to 2015, this instrument boasts a whole host of innovative features and ornate appointments to celebrate Gibson’s continuing efforts to improve their instruments. Updates to the neck profile and electronics are combined with a luxurious Quilted Maple top, Abalone inlays, metal control knobs topped with abalone and a no screw pickguard for easy removal and installation. Made in the USA, this guitar features a Mahogany body with Modern Weight Relief, a AAA Quilted Maple top, a Mahogany neck and an extra thick 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other features include a Gibson G-Force Tuning System, Gibson Tune-o-Matic Bridge with easy access hex key adjustment and Stop-Bar Tailpiece along with a Gibson Zero Fret Adjustable Brass Nut. Equipped in this guitar are a set of Gibson Burstbucker 1 Pro and a Burstbucker 2 Pro pickups, wired to two volume and two tone controls that also provide split-coil​/​phase and pure bypass options. The Mahogany neck plays wonderfully well, with the Slim Taper Asymmetrical neck offering a truly ergonomic playing experience, feeling slightly chunkier at the bass side and fairly thin at the treble. This isn’t so overly pronounced that it feels unnatural, however it allows the hand to navigate the neck in such a way that both rhythmic and lead playing are catered for. The neck was slightly widened on the 2015 range of guitars by 0.05” a side to further assist playability leaving plenty of room for vibrato on either end of the fingerboard. The extra thick Rosewood fingerboard offers an incredibly smooth playing surface whilst also offering increased mass for added sustain. The BurstBucker Pro 1 & 2 pickups have a broad tone, encapsulating the classic vintage humbucker tones revered by many. The unbalanced coils provide a rich low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with crisp and cutting trebles, granting plenty of clarity and articulation. The Burstbucker 1 in the neck position provides a lower output with full bodied tone, whilst the Burstbucker 2 in the bridge responds incredibly to overdriven tones, offering saturated lead lines and excellent note clarity. The controls give excellent tonal shaping, the push​/​pull options really allowing you to reshape and re-voice the guitar, allowing it to blend into any style or genre with ease.
