K-Line Springfield 2 Tone Sunburst 2013 Electric Guitar

This guitar is a commission sale - if you have a high end guitar you are interested in selling please contact us. Here for sale we have a K-Line Springfield finished in 2 Tone Sunburst. Founded by Chris Kroenlien in 1995, K-Line guitars are crafted in the USA with the intention of producing vintage inspired instruments which capture the magic of iconic models with modern hardware and subtle design tweaks to bring classic styling into the 21st century. Manufactured in the USA in 2013, the Springfield is inspired by the iconic ‘S’ style shape and features a bolt on construction, comprising an Ash body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Other features include a Wilkinson Steel block tremolo with push-in trem and Gotoh SD-91 tuners. One of the greatest features of this instrument is a revised neck pocket angle, allowing for better intonation, playability and ultimately tone, a more than welcome amendment to the classic Strat design. The single ply pickguard is loaded with a trio of Klein S-5 Scooped Mid Stratocaster Pickups. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume neck/middle tone and bridge tone controls. The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with a Medium ‘U’ profile assuringly filling the hand, with very little taper and a thick and full feel across the entire register. The 10” radius provides a slightly flatter playing surface than the one typically found on a stratocaster, allowing for unrestricted string bends which pairs well with the larger neck. The tone of the K-Line Springfield is phenomenal thanks to the set of Klein S-5 Mid Scooped. The set has lots of low end and trebles, managing to retain a vintage feel whilst avoiding the overly bright quality of some stratocaster pickup. The pickups have a scooped mid range which give an extremely glassy, clean tone on the bridge pickup and a woody type tone with creamy compression from the middle and neck. In addition to this the pickups are wax potted to avoid unwanted microphonics. With the addition of top notch electronics, The Springfield plays better than a vintage instrument, but still projects all the vintage vibe.
