Made in China in 2013, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 20-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include Standard Open-Gear tuners, a 5-Saddle Hi-Mass bridge, and a set of Modern Player Humbucking Jazz Bass pickups that are wired to a 4-way Rotary pickup selector, two independent volume controls, and a master tone control. The Maple neck plays very well, with its ‘C’ profile feeling smooth and responsive making for an efficient playing experience, whilst the fifth string is super easy to fret thanks to the easy to grip neck. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck feels pleasing under the thumb and enhances transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cut design of the body makes for great access to the higher register. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and its 9.5” radius this neck offers an authentic Fender playing experience. The pair of Modern Player Humbucking Jazz Bass pickups in this bass deliver thick and throaty bass tones, well suited to a wide range of genres. The neck pickup is warm and round, with a robust low end, driving mids and a sparkling treble response that captures the attack of your playing excellently. The bridge pickup is brighter, and helps to push your sound forward in the mix. The 4-way rotary switch allows you to access every tonal combination that these pickups can offer, making this an incredibly versatile bass. A small screw hole is present to the front face of the headstock, this is from where the original string tree used to be installed. A very light indentation is present to the top edge of the headstock, this can be seen under close scrutiny. All other aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use. Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the satin finish display light to mild scratching which can be seen under close scrutiny, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the front face near the bridge pickup, and to the rear face. Light indentations can be seen to the body most noticeably to the bass side lower bout front face, treble side of the front face and near the input jack, some of these have pierced the finish but do not expose the wood beneath. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. Mild scratching is present to the scratchplate, these can be seen under direct light and is consistent with regular past use.
