Here for sale we have a PRS CE 24 electric guitar in Ruby Red finish. Made in the USA in 2016, the original CE was introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars. This bolt-on construction comprises a Mahogany body topped with a Flamed Maple top, Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted, including a PRS Patented Tremolo and PRS designed Locking Tuners. A pair of PRS 85​/​15 humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch with master volume and tone controls. The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the 'Pattern Thin' profile filling the hand nicely without being at all cumbersome. Certainly, the profile is thick enough to sustain a firm grip when chord playing whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate melodic lines. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The Satin Nitro finish to the rear creates a natural, addictive feel while the cutaway and signature PRS chamfered horn ensure unobstructed access to the upper register for soloing. The pair of PRS USA 85​/​15 pickups installed in this instrument deliver remarkable clarity, perfect for modern tones. A detailed low end is complemented well by a smooth midrange, whilst the high frequencies are bright and shimmering. Further versatility is granted via the push​/​pull coil split, offering gorgeous sparkling single coil tones. Overall a great workhorse guitar, ideal for a gigging musician in need of a guitar that sounds great in virtually any playing situation. Our ID: 1090825124543 Weight: 7.45lbs Serial: 16 226017 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall excellent condition. The front edge of the headstock displays some light scuff marks, as do the top edges. The tips of the headstock have worn, particularly the rear treble edge, this appears to be wear and not a chip. Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates a number of very light indentations, none of which can be felt underhand in a playing position. The finish at the heel of the neck has begun to fade and wear in places. The fingerboard displays some light scratching, none of which can be felt underhand. Body: Overall very good condition. The front face displays light scratching and small indentations throughout. The bass side waist demonstrates some light cracking to the lacquer and a more moderate scratch on the bass side horn. The lower edges display moderate indentations and chips around the perimeter. The rear edges display similar wear with cracking to the finish being evident on the top edge just beside the neck pocket and 2 small chips on the treble side edge, all of which expose the wood beneath. The rear face demonstrates light scratching and small indentations throughout. There is very light lacquer cracking to the edge of the neck pocket which is of no structural concern. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light scratching and mild flattening of the crown, not affecting playability. There is light material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" Wrench) not included.
