Gibson Custom Shop CS-336 Ebony 2007 Semi-Hollow Guitar

Here for sale we have a Gibson Custom Shop CS-336 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 2007, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Plain Maple top, a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include an ABR-1 bridge, Kluson Reissue Single Ring tuners, and a set of Gibson '57 Classic Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. Whilst similar in visuals to the ES models, the CS-336 is constructed with carved and chambered solid woods for a sound all of its own. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the SlimTaper profile offering a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. Nicely comfortable in the hand, the neck is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques, whilst the gloss finish to the rear works with double cutaway body design to ensure smooth and speedy navigation of the 24.75" scale. The 12" fingerboard radius is traditional for Gibson, and provides the versatility required to cover anything from big string bends to Jazzy chord voicings. The familiar lines of the body design are as comfortable in the arms as ever, offering the sound and feel of Gibson's semi-hollow guitars in a smaller, more manageable package. The pair of Gibson '57 Classic humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, exemplifying the rock and blues sounds that Gibson has long been renowned for. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The bridge is of course brighter, perfect for rock rhythm parts and riffing because it can handle a serious amount of gain. There is all of the snarl and bite that we associate with rockin' tones, yet at the same time definition and clarity is retained. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set. The solid wood semi-hollow construction ensures a resonant and lively sound, with plenty of dynamic range on offer. Our ID: 1050825123490 Weight: 7.25lbs Serial: CS-75041 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light to moderate scratching. Most of this is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The most notable exception to this is between the low E and the A tuning machine, where a light scratch discolors the finish slightly. Very light scratching is infrequently apparent to all other aspects of the headstock. The seam between the faceplate and the headstock has cracked the finish, however this is typical for nitrocellulose lacquer and does not affect the structural stability. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching and indentation throughout the register. This is most concentrated behind the first fret. These markings are only visible under direct lighting at certain angles, and can only slightly be felt beneath the thumb in playing position not affecting the overall playability of the instrument. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light scratching throughout the entire face, causing a slight hazing of the finish when viewed under direct lighting at certain angles. A moderate indentation is apparent to the rear edge binding beside the jack socket. The rear face demonstrates consistent scratching and indentation consistent with buckle rash, this does not pierce the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear - there is some play to the tuners but they do function correctly. The tailpiece and bridge demonstrate some tarnishing, not affecting functionality. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 Electrics: Fully functional. Case & Accessories Gibson Custom Shop hard case The case demonstrates light signs of use.
