Here for sale we have a Fender Classic Series '72 Telecaster Deluxe Electric Guitar refinished in a Gloss Red finish. Made in Mexico in 2003, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 6-saddle Vintage-Style Hardtail bridge, Fender Vintage "F" Stamped tuners, and two Fender Wide Range humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two independent volume controls, two independent tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The Maple neck plays very well, with what feels like a 'D' profile with some flattening to the back making it easy to grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 12” radius is well suited to lead lines and string bending. This paired with the Medium Jumbo frets ensures a playing experience which is perfect for the more technical player. The Wide-Range humbuckers sound thick and full, with a solid low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with classic Fender treble. The pickups cut through nicely, putting your playing front and centre in even the densest of mixes. The controls feel responsive, offering a wide range of sounds. Overall offering more power than is usual for Fender without entirely losing the signature character. Our ID: 1010825122080 Weight: 8.25lbs Serial: MZ3235562 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall good condition. Moderate delamination is present to both the front and face of the headstock, with this, glue residue can be seen to the rear face from a previous repair. Mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock, some of these have pierced the finish and discolored the wood beneath. Neck: Overall very good condition. A previous owner has sanded the rear of the neck to a satin finish, with this light scratching can be seen under close scrutiny. A mild indentation is present to the fifth fret, this can not be felt in the playing position. A light indentation is present to the bass side heel of the neck, this can be seen under close scrutiny. Body: Overall good condition. We believe that the guitar has been refinished by a previous owner to a high standard. We have deduced that the guitar used to have a 3-Tone Sunburst finish. A lacquer crack is present to the treble side of the neck pocket, this has been tested and presents no structural concerns. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching, the most apparent of these can be seen to the rear of the body where the scratching has in places exposed the prime coat. Light impressions can be seen to both the top edge of the neck pocket and near the input jack, with this, very light consistent 'circular' patterns can be seen under close scrutiny to the lower bout front face. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1​/​8" hex) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. Moderate scratching can be seen to the scratchplate which can be seen under direct light, this is common with regular past use. The metal hardware displays light to mild signs of scratching and tarnishing of the finish, this is most apparent to the pickup covers. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 This guitar demonstrates mild fret noise from the 9th fret of the low E which is not apparent when amplified. This noise does not affect sustain of notes, nor does it affect bending the notes. The new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this. Electrics: Fully functional.
