Here for sale we have a Yamaha FG830 Electro-Acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Yamaha's very popular FG series of instruments were first introduced in 1966 as an affordable entry point into the acoustic guitar market. Thanks to their excellent build quality, playability and sounds, they have gone on to be almost ubiquitous in the guitar world, with most guitarists having owned one at some point. This modern example was made in China and features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, Nato neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. A Urea saddle and nut are fitted along with a set of Chrome sealed tuning machines. The Nato neck plays very well, with a profile which will suit the majority of players thanks to its moderate size and nicely rounded 'C' shape. The Satin finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.6" scale, whilst the Rosewood of the fingerboard adds a touch of luxury to the playing experience. A traditional 16" radius is featured, and provides a playing surface which is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The smooth lines of the body are comfortable in the arms, and with an upper strap button the instrument is ready for either seated or standing positions. The acoustic voice of the Yamaha FG830 is rich and full-bodied thanks to its large body design. There is a warm bass response which manages to avoid being too soft. The Rosewood of the back and sides adds character and depth to the tone, whilst the Solid Spruce top provides brightness and a fast attack. The instrument projects very well, and provides a wide dynamic range which feels sensitive to the player's touch. The L.R Baggs Anthem SL uses the award-winning Element piezo system, hailed as one of the best on the market thanks to its sensitivity. When combined with the natural-sounding condenser mic on board you have the cut and clarity of a piezo with the warmth of the microphone. The Anthem SL uses the same technology as the Anthem, but simplifies the design by simply offering one control: volume. LR Baggs have optimised the blend perfectly to offer the perfect balance between clarity and warmth - all you need to worry about is how loud you want to be!
