Here for sale we have an Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in the USA in 2009, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include locking tuners, a Music Man 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail bridge, an Alnico II Classic Vintage-Voiced Humbucker in the bridge position, and two DiMarzio Custom Single Coils in the neck and middle position. These pickups are wired to a master volume control, a master tone control, and a three-way pickup selector. The original DiMarzio humbucker is also included in the case. The Maple neck plays well, with the satin finish to the rear feeling pleasant to the touch and aiding in smooth movements up and down the neck. The profile might be described as an even 'C' shape, feeling comfortable across the register and allowing for fast runs and easy chord playing. The Alder body is small enough to feel comfortable and lightweight in any playing position whilst retaining a generous feel and well set out controls. The sculpted neck heel and tapered lower horn enhance access to the upper register. The trio of pickups installed in this guitar deliver classic Stratocaster tones with some extra grunt from the humbucker in the bridge. The DiMarzio single coil pickups deliver bright, chiming S-type tones, well suited to a wide range of styles and genres. The neck pickup is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The middle position is bright and clear, and is well suited to funky rhythm sounds. The aftermarket Tonerider Alnico II Classic bridge humbucker offers a hotter output, and can easily drive your amp into a saturated distortion tone. Our ID: 1130825125662 Weight: 7.05lbs Serial: G48438 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face and top edges demonstrate light indentation. These do not pierce the finish but are visible under close inspection. The most notable of these is apparent to the top front edge. Further light indentation is less frequently apparent around the perimeter of the headstock. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck has buffed to a gloss through regular use. Very light indentation is apparent throughout the register which is only visible under direct lighting at certain angles and cannot be felt under the thumb. The fingerboard demonstrates extremely light play wear in the early register, difficult to discern against the natural grain. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation cracking the finish on the bass side horn. This does not reveal the wood beneath. The lower bout demonstrates light indentation, most consistent towards the treble side of the bottom edge. Light scratching is apparent to the treble side horn and waist, alongside the bass side waist, consistent with use of a plectrum. The edges, sides and rear face demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. ` Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (spoke wheel) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear, most notably tarnishing of the saddles. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
