Here for sale we have an absolutely stunning Brook Torridge acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. This instrument was hand crafted in Devon, England in 2008 and features an all-solid construction comprising a European Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge and head veneer. The body is double bound, with Herringbone purfling and rosette. The fingerboard is inlaid with real Mother of Pearl dots. The Mahogany neck plays exceptionally well, with what might be described as a very soft ‘V’ that rounds to a ‘C’ as you go up the neck. This makes for an effortless reach across the fretboard. The Ebony fingerboard is supremely pleasant under the fingers, and along with the Mother of Pearl inlays adds a real sense of luxury to the playing experience. The 10” radius ensures a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for fingerstyle and lead lines. The Torridge body size sits very comfortably in the arms whilst providing a lively, resonant yet intimate playing experience that is very rewarding and inspiring. The voice of the Brook Torridge is nothing short of exquisite. The body size is supremely well-balanced. Lows are rich yet understated, the mid range is clear and the highs are bright and glistening. This all adds up to a beautiful and unmistakable tone that is equally at home as a solo instrument or as part of an ensemble. The all-solid construction ensures a beautiful resonance which delivers a wide and sensitive dynamic range, encompassing both elegant intricate passages and powerful chordal sections. Any markings are difficult to discern aside from a small indentation on the rear bass side of the neck just below the 3rd fret. Body: Overall excellent condition. The rear face demonstrates some light scratching just below the neck heel, with a similar scratch to the centre of the guitar and to the treble side waist. The front face displays a small scratch on the treble side beside the sound hole. All of the above have been found under close scrutiny and do not detract from the overall excellent condition of the instrument, Condition of Frets: There is a mild flattening to the crown, not affecting playability. There is substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm Wrench) not included.
