Here for sale we have a Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar in Butterscotch Blonde finish. Made in 1992, this guitar bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Ash body, a Maple neck, and a 21-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include Fender Vintage-Style tuners, a 3-barrel brass saddle ashtray bridge, and a set of Fender American Vintage Single Coil Pickups that are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector. This guitar was designed to be the ultimate vintage experience without the huge price tag. The American Vintage series was created to present the player with original-era model year guitars. The Ash body provides a very balanced tonal foundation which pairs very well with the Maple neck that gives that classic Tele snap that you would expect from such an instrument. The standard "C” shaped neck is the only part of this guitar that is not exactly era-specific, but still provides an incredibly easy and fluid playing experience. The vintage frets and 7.25" radius provide a suitably traditional playing experience, well suited to country and blues styles. The guitar comes fitted with two American Vintage Single-Coil pickups that have been voiced to sound just like the original pickups would have in the guitar that you would have bought in 1952. The bridge pickup has that delightful bite and twang that you would expect with plenty of spank for when you want that true country sound. The neck pickup has a beautiful warmth to it that is silky smooth and perfect for rhythm playing and solos alike. The pickups have been wired to how they would have been in 1952, when Leo Fender replaced a 'Blend' control with a 'Master Tone' Control. Typically, the pickup selector would go between bridge, both, and neck pickups. But, the original wiring was designed to be the bridge pickup with full tone control in the first position, the neck pickup with full tone control in the second position, and then the neck pickup alone with a pre-set deep rhythm effect sound and no tone control in the third position. Back then, it was only by accident that guitarists discovered that if they balanced the selector between positions one and two, they could get tones from both pickups combined.
