Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Traditional electric guitar in Gold Top finish. Made in the USA in 2011, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a weight-relieved Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Nashville T-O-M bridge & StopBar tailpiece and a set of Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with 'Tulip' style buttons. A pair of Gibson humbucking pickups are installed, with a '57 Classic in the neck and '57 Classic + in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, and independent volume & tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with a profile which might be described as a moderately-sized ‘50s’ shape, which offers comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale length, whilst the single cutaway body design ensures easy access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. With a weight relief, the body feels comfortable in the arms and is easier on the shoulders at 8.8lbs whilst retaining enough weight to feel authentically 'Les Paul'. The pair of Gibson humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, exemplifying the rock and blues tones that the Les Paul has long been renowned for. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The '57 Classic Plus in the bridge is of course brighter, perfect for rock rhythm parts and riffing because it can handle a serious amount of gain. There is all of the snarl and bite that we associate with rockin' Les Paul tones, yet at the same time definition and clarity is retained. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set. The traditional Les Paul controls are as versatile as ever, offering comprehensive control of your sound right on the guitar. Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the top edge of the headstock, with this light delamination has been caused but does not expose the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to the front face of the headstock which can only be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use, with only very light indentations which cannot be felt underhand. Body: Overall very good condition. Moderate finish checking is present to the front face of the body, this is common with nitrocellulose finishes. All faces of the body demonstrate light to mild indentations, most notably to the top of the bass side edge beside the strap button and bottom edge of the rear face. Light scratching is present to all aspects of the body which can be seen under direct light, with the most prominent scratching to the rear face, consistent with buckle rash. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) not included. Hardware: Fully functional and excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use. The original cream pickguard is included however the bracket and screws are not. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
