Fender 1997 Collectors Edition Stratocaster 3-Tone Sunburst

This guitar is a commission sale. If you have a high end guitar or amplifier you are interested in selling, please contact us. Here for sale we have a Fender 1997 Collectors Edition Stratocaster Electric Guitar in 3-Tone Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 1997, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of a '62 Strat Solid Alder body, a 1-piece Maple neck with a '62 Strat neck profile, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a 6-saddle vintage-style tremolo bridge, Gold hardware, Vintage-style tuners, two Texas Special single coil pickups, and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail humbucker. These pickups are wired to a master volume, tone 1, tone2, and a 5-way pickup selector. The Maple neck plays very well, with the '62-Strat profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip, whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. Certainly, the profile is distinct from Fender's more modern offerings and delivers a unique but practical playing experience across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius is well suited to a wide range of styles and techniques. The Pearloid fingerboard inlays and binding are a nice touch which add a real sense of luxury to the playing experience. The smooth lines of the Stratocaster body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions. The duo of Fender Texas Special Single-Coils installed in this instrument deliver classic Stratocaster tone, with the added bonus of the Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the bridge of r an extra bit of grunt! The bridge pickup provides bright, full-bodied trebles with plenty of spank, power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle pickup produces bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup has rounded creamer tones great for chordal phrasings or quick jazz style lines, whilst also handling higher gain settings masterfully, offering plenty of room for tonal scaping.
