The connection was a bit slow, but it's nothing to worry about.

PRS CE24 Vintage Sunburst 1996 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a PRS CE 24 electric guitar in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 1996, the original CE was introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars. This bolt-on construction comprises a Mahogany body topped with a Flamed Maple top, Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted, including a PRS Patented 6-point vintage-style Tremolo and PRS designed Locking Tuners. A pair of PRS humbucking pickups are installed, with an HFS in the bridge and a Vintage in the neck. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume and master tone controls, with a Push/Push on the tone which acts as a coil-split. The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with the 'Wide Thin' profile filling the hand nicely without being at all cumbersome. Certainly, the profile is thick enough to sustain a firm grip when chord playing whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate melodic lines. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 10" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The smooth gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the double cutaway design with signature PRS chamfered horn ensures unobstructed access to the upper register for soloing. Amplified, the pair of PRS humbucking pickups deliver plenty of grunt and character, with the 3-way switching & coil splitting function delivering a wide range of tones appropriate for many genres and playing styles. The HFS in the bridge is nice and hot, with a powerful output that can easily drive your amp into a saturated distortion for rock rhythm parts and riffs. Indeed, 'HFS' stands for Hot, Fat & Screams! The Vintage humbucker in the neck is of course rounder, producing a smooth and clear tone for solos and lead lines, as well as a crystalline, glassy clean tone. A beautiful instrument which has developed its own unique character over the years. Luthier Report Our ID: 1260825129051 Weight: 8.8lbs Serial: 6713768 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Mild indentation is present to the edges, most notably the top rear edge where the exposed wood has discoloured. The front face also displays mild indentation which does not pierce the finish. A smaller indentation which lightly pierces the finish is present at the treble side edge where the guitar would make contact with a hanger. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light & close scrutiny. Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations to the rear of the neck are present throughout the register, most notably at the treble side of the 5th and 9th frets. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has worn to a gloss through regular past use, as is common with satin finishes. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentation is scattered inconsistently around the front face, most notably at the treble side waist where the wood is lightly exposed. A further indentation which cracks but does not pierce the finish is present at the treble side edge of the waist. At the bass side lower bout edge of the rear face a light chip to the finish exposes the wood. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the body, most notably at the treble side waist and rear face consistent with buckle rash & playwear. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss Rod Tool (5/16" Socket) not included. Hardware: Very good condition. Light to mild tarnishing to the metal hardware is most notable to the bridge. Mild oxidation can be seen to the pickup ring screws. Structural: No coroners or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height. Strings on Guitar - 10-46 Electrics: Fully functional. Case & Accessories: Original PRS hard case. Overall good condition. The left hand latch is missing the spring, meaning it does not pop up when released. The latch does close securely however. The right hand latch does not close. All of the metal hardware displays mild oxidation whilst the exterior of the case shows scratching with some sections of wood exposed. The case protects the guitar as intended. Tremolo arm included. Truss rod tool not included.
