Here is a very special vintage 1983 FujiGen built Fender 62' RI Telecaster (TL62B) in beautiful aged Candy Apple Red finish. This is Fender Japan’s top of the line Tele and one of the oldest we have had from FujiGen Gakki. It features all the good stuff. Double bound, alder body, dark slab rosewood 7.25 radius fingerboard and heaps of vintage mojo. Of course, it has its original JV bridge plate featuring its engraved serial number. It is also pencil dated to of 3rd September 1983 under the clear coat on the neck heel which further confirms its JV period status. It's a real looker too. The double body binding has aged beautifully on it, having naturally yellowed over the decades, it looks superb against the CAR body (just check the pics, you wont see a cooler looking vintage Fender Tele). It plays great too, nice action with plenty of bite & twang if you want it courtesy of the 3 saddles and TL vintage pickups. The super dry lightweight alder body feels great and very resonant. The guitar weighs in at a very nice 3.5kg. It has it’s original 3-ply white pickguard, 3 spiral saddles and aforementioned Fender JV-Serial stamped bridge plate. In 100% original condition with no mods. No issues either electrically or structurally. Neck fine, frets fine, truss rod fine. Being from early​/​mid 80’s it has all the mojo you could want, and is well along the road to being a vintage stunner. The FujiGen poly looks and feels very thin, which you often find on these 80’s builds. The old growth wood and thin finish add to the superb resonance of this guitar & also looks pretty cool. You are buying a vintage Tele so expect plenty of little finish nicks, chips etc. It comes complete with Telecaster hardcase (not original, this would originally have come in a gig bag).
