Here for sale we have an Alvarez Artist Elite AGFM80CEAR Grand Auditorium electro-acoustic guitar in Natura Gloss finish. Made in China in 2023, this instrument features a dovetail construction comprising a Solid AA Sitka Spruce top, Laminated Flamed Maple back and sides, Maple neck and 21 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Ebony, whilst the top is adorned with a minimal Abalone rosette design which keeps the looks understated. A Bone saddle & nut are fitted along with a set of Chrome sealed tuning machines. An L.R Baggs Element undersaddle piezo pickup is fitted, and is wired to an L.R Baggs StagePro on-board preamp with controls for master volume, 3-band EQ, notch, phase reverse and an on-board tuner. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which can be described as a 'V' shape offering smooth and comfortable playability in all registers. The 'V' profile is often overlooked amongst the numerous 'Low Oval' and 'C' shape profiles which are ubiquitous today. This is a shame because it's a highly ergonomic profile with a distinctive character and feel. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 16" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing. The satin finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25.5" scale, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper frets. The acoustic voice of the Alvarez Artist Elite is bright and snappy thanks to its Maple​/​Spruce construction. The Grand Auditorium body shape delivers plenty of volume thanks to its slightly larger stature, and does a good job of improving the overall bass response of the instrument. The Solid AA Sitka Spruce projects very well, providing a wide and sensitive dynamic range. The L.R Baggs undersaddle piezo & preamp system faithfully conveys the acoustic tone of the instrument, allowing for live performance and studio work. A classy, well equipped and great sounding instrument which won't break the bank.
