Here for sale we have an Alvarez MD70ce Dreadnought Electro Acoustic Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in China in 2012, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover tuners, X-bracing, an Ebony bridge, and a Alvarez SYS650 Dual Pickup EQ Preamp with side mounted controls. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that fills the hand nicely whilst retaining a slim feel, offering comfortable fretting in all registers. The Rosewood fingerboard feels smooth to the touch, and with the 15" radius provides a playing surface capable of a wide variety of playing styles, whilst fretting is a breezy and sumptuous affair in any register, whilst the body design feels great in both seated and standing positions and provides good reach to the higher frets. This instrument voice is warm and detailed, with the Rosewood back producing a loud and responsive midrange. The Spruce top provides a balanced tone with plenty of low end power and warm detail. The Alvarez SYS650 Dual Pickup EQ preamp and pickup system provides a clear and natural sound that is perfect for both live performances and studio recordings; and with all of the controls you could possibly need right at your fingertips, you can easily dial in the perfect sound for any situation. The top edge on both the rear and front face display mild indentations, some of these lightly expose the wood. All other aspects of the headstock display light signs of past use. Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use. Body: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the lower bout treble side of the front face, these can only be seen under direct light under close scrutiny, these have not broken through the finish. Very light scratching is present to the treble side of the soundhole, these can be consistent with light past use and can only be seen under direct light. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod adjustment tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the hardware display light signs of past use.
