Made in the United Kingdom, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of an Obeche body, a Flame Maple neck, and a 22-fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Aged Nickel hardware, an Aged Gotoh dropped-side Ashtray Bridge with Gotoh “intune” saddles, Locking Vintage Style Aged Gotoh 510 Tuners, and a set of Atkin Handwound AD90 Alnico V pickups. The pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone (Push​/​Pull both pickups in series), and a three-way pickup selector. The quality of the craftsmanship is present in every aspect of this mould-breaking guitar. The guys at Atkin have thrown the rule book out of the window and have created one of the most comfortable new body designs. The hand crafted '60s "C" profile relic Flame Maple neck feels like an old friend that you have been reunited with after 50 years of being apart, with extreme comfortability and ease of use. In a similar vein, the nitrocellulose finish gives the impression that this guitar has already been around the block a fair few times, creating character and inspiration from first sight. The pair of Atkin Handwound AD90 Alnico V pickups installed in this guitar deliver a thick and raw sound, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp very nicely. The lows are full-bodied yet tight, the midrange is punchy and powerful- easily cutting through a mix. Along with the biting high frequencies, there is a well rounded tone on offer here which is well suited to a wide range of genres & playing styles. The pickups are very dynamic, and with the push​/​pull "Series" pot, you are able to really push the limits of the tones that this guitar can achieve.
