Here for sale we have a Duesenberg Gran Majesto Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Cherry Red finish. Founded in 1986 in Hannover, the company initially focussed on the heavy metal market which was dominant at the time. As tastes changed, they pivoted towards the designs they are known for today. Made in Germany in 2018, this instrument features a set-neck semi-hollow construction consisting of a Laminated Spruce top, Laminated Maple back and sides, 1pc Maple neck and a 22-fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-O-Matic bridge, Duesenberg Open Z-Tuners, and Duesenberg Wing inlays. The guitar comes fitted with a Duesenberg Phonico P90 Domino pickup in the neck, and a Duesenberg Phonico GrandVintage Humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 4-way rotary switch. The Maple neck plays very well, with the Medium 'D' profile feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand for easy playability across the register. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with smooth navigation of the 25.5" scale, whilst the single cutaway body design enhances access to the upper frets. The Indian Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The pair of Duesenberg pickups installed in this guitar deliver an exciting and unique range of tones that work well in a wide variety of musical settings. The Domino P90 in the neck is warm and raw, delivering a tone that is thicker and grittier than a single coil, but that retains clarity and chime on clean sounds. The GrandVintage humbucker in the bridge is of course hotter, delivering a searing output that saturates into a thick distortion when driving the amp. The semi-hollow construction of the body ensures a sensitive dynamic range that is responsive to the player's touch. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register. Tarnishing of the metal hardware is present most noticeably to the bridge, tailpiece and the pickups.
