Here for sale we have an Eastman E1 OM Acoustic Guitar in Truetone Satin finish. Made in China in 2021, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising Sapele back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Tortoiseshell, whilst the top is adorned with multi-stripe purfling and rosette as well as a Tortoiseshell pickguard. A Bone saddle and nut are fitted along with Ebony bridge pins and Nickel Open-Gear Pingwell V963N tuning machines. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Traditional Even C profile filling the hand nicely for a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience across the register. The open-pore satin finish to the rear of the neck provides a smooth and tactile surface for the thumb to rest, and delivers supreme comfort when playing. The Ebony of the fingerboard is nice and dark in appearance, and with a tight grain provides a durable playing surface. The 12" fingerboard radius works together with the Jescar JW43080 frets to provide a playing surface which is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The acoustic voice of the Eastman E1 OM is crisp, clear and beautifully balanced. The OM body design is well known for delivering an even response across the frequency spectrum, falling between the 'boominess' of a dreadnought and the intimacy of a parlor. The all-solid construction ensures a beautiful resonance as well as a lively and responsive playing experience in the arms. The Solid Sitka Spruce top project very well, providing a wide and sensitive dynamic range with plenty of volume from such a small body. The top rear edge shows light indentation which does not pierce the finish. Light scratching to the front face is evident under close scrutiny, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall excellent condition. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has worn to a light gloss through regular use. The heel shows very light delamination of the finish, visible only under close scrutiny. Body: Overall excellent condition. A very light indentation to the front face is present at the bass side lower bout, not piercing the finish. Any other markings to the body are difficult to discern. Condition of Frets: The frets display minimal signs of wear. There is considerable material remaining for any fretwork the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional.
