Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot in Natural Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 2001, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a T-O-M style bridge, StopBar tailpiece and sealed tuning machines. A pair of Alnico Classic Humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with a rather slender profile that might be described as a 'D' shape thanks to the flattened area to the centre. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The smooth lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, and at just 8 lbs is fairly easy on the shoulders too. The pair of humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The semi-hollow construction provides an open and airy tone with a nicely sensitive dynamic range. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your lead and solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge position is of course brighter, and can handle a surprising amount of gain to produce a searing raw tone which is great for anything from blues to hard rock. Our ID: 127012574430 Weight: 8lbs Serial: S01010408 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a series of small chips to the bass side front edge which reveals the wood beneath. These markings run between the low E and A tuners. The top treble side corner demonstrates some scuffing. The top rear edge demonstrates some scratching, indentation and scuffing which slightly pierces the finish. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. These cannot be felt under the thumb in playing position. The treble side edge of the fingerboard at the 3rd fret demonstrates a small indentation. A small finish imperfection is apparent at the treble side of the body join, which does not affect function or stability. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates several areas of discoloration where stickers have been previously stuck and then later removed. Light indentation can be identified across the face, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles, most notably to the lower bout. The treble side of the body demonstrates a moderate indentation cracking and piercing the finish. The rear face demonstrates light buckle rash visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional.
