Here for sale we have an Epiphone EJ200 in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Korea in 2003, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Select Spruce top, Maple back and sides, Maple neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching Moustache bridge. This instrument is fitted with Grover Rotomatic tuning machines, along with a non-functioning VAN-5L Preamp system and pickup. The guitar also has a side-mounted control panel with a 5-band EQ, Volume control, and a built-in tuner. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the SlimTaper D profile that feels slender in the hand whilst retaining the sturdy and robust character you would expect from an Epiphone. The 12" radius lends itself well to chordal playing, whilst remaining practical for fingerstyle in any register, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface under the fingers. The Jumbo body shape feels great in the arms, and provides a comfortable playing experience in both standing and seated positions. The voice of this instrument is rich and well-defined, with a warm yet precise low end, focussed midrange and bright high frequencies. The Solid Spruce top projects well and provides a wide dynamic range that feels sensitive to the player's touch. Playing gently will give you the warm mellow tones needed for those quiet moments, whereas putting some snap and power behind your right hand rewards you with the powerful booming tones this guitar is capable of. Our ID: 1020625105162 Weight: 4.85lbs Serial: R03B0192 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Chipping of the finish is present to the top edge of the headstock, these have pierced the finish with one exposing the wood beneath. Light delamination is present to the front face near the high E string. The front face displays light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching and indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be felt lightly in the playing position. Light glue residue is present to the heel of the neck. A light indentation is present to the fingerboard at the first fret, this can not be felt under the fingers in the playing position. Body: Overall good condition. A previous owner has routed a hole to the bass side shoulder to install an onboard control panel. All aspects of the body display light to mild indentations, the most apparent of these can be seen to the treble side shoulder edge and bass side lower bout edge, these have broken through the finish exposing the wood beneath. Glue residue is present to the front face around the scratchplate from were a previous owner has attempted a repair. A lacquer crack is present to the bass side where the body meets the neck, this has been tested and presents no structural concerns. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be viewed under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall good condition. The tuning machines display mild tarnishing and oxidation. The bridge displays scratching and light indentations. The scratchplate displays glue residue from where a previous owner has attempted a repair. Structural: The neck of this guitar needs a neck re-set to allow further adjustments. All other aspects of the guitar's structure present no concerns.
