Here for sale we have an Epiphone Firebird in a Vintage Sunburst. Crafted in China in 2020, this guitar features a neck-thru construction comprising a Mahogany body, 9-ply Mahogany​/​Walnut Neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with a LockTone tune-o-matic bridge with a stopbar tail, sealed mini Grover tuning machines, along with the iconic non reverse headstock design. The pickups installed are a pair of Epiphone ProBucker FB720. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls. The neck profile is carved into what we would describe as a Slimtaper ‘C’, this is a comfortable profile which when combined with the relatively wide shape fills the hand reassuringly without feeling overly cumbersome.The thru neck construction and Firebird design provides excellent access to the upper register, and along with the Rosewood fingerboard and gloss finish a smooth playing experience can be expected in all registers. The weight of the instrument is relatively well distributed thanks to the mini Grover tuners making this guitar a perfect gigging companion. The Firebird comes fitted with a ProBuckers in the bridge and neck which offers incredibly high gain with perfect sustain and clarity with every note. The neck also delivers a very high output with creamy lows and mids. Both pickups provide you with plenty of sustain and warmth which sound at their best when paired with an overdriven amp. The classic wiring of independent volume and tone controls provides plenty of versatility without any complicated switching, making this instrument great for tonal sculpting to the players desired taste. Our ID: 1200725118682 Weight: 7.8lbs Serial: 20101531147 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light paint transfer is present to the tip of the headstock. Three screw holes are present to the front face, this is from where a truss rod cover was previously installed. Light scratching is present to the front face most noticeably around the B and high E tuning machines, these can be seen under direct light. Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use. Body: Overall excellent condition. Light scuff marking is present to the rear side cutaway edge, this does not break the finish. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can be seen under direct light, common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall good condition. The bridge posts have been replaced by a previous owner to gold studs, the originals are not included. The truss rod cover is missing from a previous owner. All aspects of the metal hardware display mild tarnishing, oxidation and indentations, this is most noticeable to the bridge and pickup covers. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
