Made in Korea in 2002, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with Gold hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece along with Grover sealed tuning machines. The Pickups are a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic humbuckers, wired to a 3-way selector, bridge volume with and tone and neck volume and tone controls. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the SlimTaper ‘D’ profile feeling slim and providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium Jumbo frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The single cutaway body design provides the player with unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those high end lead lines. The Epiphone Alnico Classic in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Epiphone Alnico Classic in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. Our ID: 110052599371 Weight: 8.45lbs Serial: S021112491 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. A light chip to the lacquer finish it present to the treble side top edge, this does not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching which can be viewed under direct light as is common with high gloss finishes. The most apparent of these can be seen to the front face. Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck display light scratching and light indentations throughout the register, these can not be felt in the playing position. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Two screw holes are present to the treble side edge and treble side of end of the fingerboard, these are from where a pick guard was installed previously. All aspects of the body display light to moderate scratching and indentations, the most apparent of these can be seen to the rear face where the indentations have pierced the finish but do not expose the wood beneath. Scratching and indentations consistent with buckle rash can be seen to the center of the rear face. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display moderate tarnishing of the gold plating, this is consistent with heavy past use in high contact areas, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the pickup covers.
