Here for sale we have a ESP LTD KH-202 Kirk Hammett Signature in Gloss Black finish. Built in Korea in 2005, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, a Maple neck and a 24 X-jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware features consists of a Floyd Rose Licensed tremolo bridge and a set of ESP sealed tuning machines. The pickups are a pair of EMG-HZ H4 humbuckers which are wired to a 3-way selector switch, bridge volume, neck volume and a master tone control. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand with the ‘Extra Thin Flat’ neck profile feeling incredibly ergonomic, allowing for great thumb placement all across the neck, whilst the 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard and X-jumbo frets provide a robust playing experience that feels rock solid under the fingers, whilst enhancing string bending and vibrato techniques. The 13.7” provides an even and balanced feel across the strings, particularly in drop tunings. The contoured neck heel provides unobstructed access to the upper register, which works great with the double cutaway body design. Amplified, this guitar has a thick low end grunt and sculpted mid range thanks to its pair of EMG-HZ H4 pickups. The EMG-HZ H4 humbucker in the bridge position delivers powerful but balanced rock and metal tones with rich upper-midrange harmonic content. The low strings are tight and the high strings scream with harmonics, making it a go-to pickup for hard-hitting crunch rhythms and blazing lead tones. The EMG-HZ H4 humbucker in the neck position offers all the soloing clarity you could wish for, with sweet sustain and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack providing a hot output delivering smooth, fluid solo tones under gain, while still being capable of bell-like clean tones. Our ID: 1100625107350 Weight: 8.1lbs Serial: W0516336 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light chipping of the finish is present to the tip of the headstock, this has lightly exposed the wood beneath. Three screw holes are present to the front face, this is from where a truss rod cover used to be. All aspects of the headstock display light scratching which can be seen under direct light Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck displays very light scratching across the register, these can be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use. Body: Overall good condition. Moderate indentations are present to the edges of the body, a previous owner has attempted to finish repairs on these, an indentation to the bass side waist edge has exposed the wood beneath. Light to moderate scratching is visible to all aspects of the body, some of these can be seen with the naked eye and some can be seen under direct light. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm Hex) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. The low E saddle has been replaced. The screws for the bridge and pickups display mild tarnishing and oxidation. The tone control knob has been replaced.
