Here for sale we have an ESP LTD Viper-2005 Electric Guitar in Satin Black finish. Made in Korea in 2005, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Mahogany body, 3-piece Mahogany Neck, and a 24-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover tuners, a tune-o-matic bridge, and a set of EMG 81​/​85 active pickup set. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector. The 3-pc Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile resembling a ‘D’ feeling nicely slim and articulate in the hand. The neck remains substantial enough to sustain a firm grip for chord playing, whilst offering practicality for fast technical playing. The Ebony fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface right the way up the register, and with its 12" radius and extra jumbo frets delivers a rock-solid playing experience with enhanced string bending and vibrato feel. The active EMG 81​/​85 Pickup Set installed in this guitar delivers thick and crushing tones, well suited to heavy rock, metal and thrash genres. The neck pickup is round and full bodied, and with plenty of power to push your solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is brighter, and with a hotter output can easily push your amp into a searing, saturated distortion tone. The controls are nice and simple whilst offering plenty of scope for tone-shaping. The first volume control is actually for the bridge pickup, which is a common feature on metal oriented guitars, allowing you to easily dial in your perfect sound on the pickup which gets the heaviest use. Our ID: 124032588221 Weight: 7.7lbs Serial: W0517669 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. Chipping to the finish is present to both the bass and treble side top edges, this has exposed the wood beneath. Light scratching is present to all aspects of the headstock. Neck: Overall very good condition. The satin to the rear of the neck has polished to a gloss finish from regular past use, this also has caused some slight uneven texture which can be slightly felt in the playing position. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light scratching and chipping of the finish which in areas has exposed the wood beneath. High contact areas of the satin finish have been polished to a gloss appearance, this is common with regular past use on satin finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use.
