Here for sale we have a very special Faith FJMB09 finished in a High Gloss Natural finish. Limited to just 10 pieces, these exclusive models were designed by renowned luthier Patrick James Eggle and were hand crafted in the Czech Republic in the Furch facility. Featuring a bolt on construction, the FJMB09 boasts AAA quality timber, with a Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Solid Flamed Maple sides and a Solid Mahogany neck adorned with an Ebony fingerboard. The Solid Mahogany neck is a joy to play, straying slightly from the traditional thicker neck used by many Faith guitars, and offering a thinner profile that could be described as a ‘C’ shape. Whilst thinner, the neck fills the hand well providing comfortable positioning throughout the register allowing for diverse and varied playing. The Ebony fingerboard provides a supremely luxurious playing surface, feeling stable and smooth beneath the string. The somewhat unusual 10” radius encourages chordal playing without limiting individual note lines - a personal preference of Patrick that many will find more comfortable to experience. Tonally the FJMB09 boasts a complex tone, with the large Jumbo shaped body juxtaposing with the typically bright Spruce and Maple combination, creating a full bodied sound that retains a bright and sparkling top end. When pushed, this instrument rewards you with a powerful yet balanced voice, commanding the attention of listeners. Using a gentler touch allows the combination of tonewoods to sing, producing beautiful undertones ringing out for what sounds and feels like an eternity. The top edge demonstrates very light indentation visible only under close inspection. Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates very light staining throughout the register from regular use. We have been unable to remove this through regular cleaning. Body: Overall excellent condition, the front face demonstrates very light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most apparent across the lower bout. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. Structural: No concerns or issues to note. Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2.1mm - Bass 2.6mm There is a small amount of material remaining in the saddle for future adjustments.
