Made in China In 2021, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Mahogany top, Laminated Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, and 20 fret Walnut fingerboard with matching bridge. This guitar is fitted with a Graph Tech NuBone nut, Chrome machine heads and a 1-Ply Tortoiseshell pickguard. A Fishman CD-1 undersaddle piezo pickup is fitted, and is wired to the Fishman CD-on-board preamp with controls for master volume, bass, treble and a tuner The Mahogany neck plays well, with a profile Fender have called 'Easy to Play’. This feels fairly substantial without being cumbersome, and offers comfortable playability across the register. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25.3" scale length, whilst the cutaway enhances access to the upper frets. The Walnut fretboard with rolled edges feels smooth under the fingers, and with its 12" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chords and practicality for playing lead lines. The medium frets also offer a traditional yet rock-solid feel along the register. The guitar offers a full and vibrant tone, with an unpronounced yet detailed low end, strong and punchy high-mids and a sparkling treble response thanks to the Laminated Mahogany back and sides. The Solid Mahogany top helps the guitar to project very well, and provides a wide dynamic range which feels sensitive to the player's touch. The Fishman pickup conveys the acoustic voice of the guitar well, and with the Active Onboard preamp gives the player a variety of tonal options with the 2-band EQ. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible under direct lighting, as is common with high gloss finishes. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with very light signs of wear. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
