Here for sale we have a Fender Telecaster CIJ Jerry Donahue Signature Telecaster in Black finish. Crafted in Japan in 1997, this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Basswood body, Maple neck and 21 Vintage Style fret Maple fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a 3 Brass saddle string through Tele bridge and a set of vintage-style sealed tuning machines. The pickups featured are a Fender strat-style pickup in the neck position and a Fender single-coil in the bridge position, these are wired to a 5-way toggle switch, master volume and master tone controls. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a ‘V’ profile shape, feeling fluid and smooth in the hand thanks to its Satin finish, aiding for easy fretting in any register. The Vintage Style frets and 7.25" radius delivers a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience for string bending and vibrato techniques, further enhanced by the Vintage-Style frets. The single cutaway body design allows the player to access the higher register with ease, allowing for fast lead lines without any obstruction The pair of Fender single-coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver clear and precise tones that capture all of the twang, snap and snarl that made the Telecaster such an iconic instrument. The Strat style pickup in the neck produces amazingly clean strat tones while the extremely versatile 5 way-switch gives you access out of phase and half phase tones as well as being able to combine both pickups. Light indentation can be identified to the rear top edge under close inspection. Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates light scratching throughout the register which cannot be felt under the strings. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation that cracks the finish slightly to the treble side lower bout beside the controls. The bass and treble corners of the neck pocket demonstrate finish cracking which is common in bolt on necks and does not cause any structural concern. The bottom edge demonstrates a moderate indentation chipping and cracking the finish beside the strap button. The rear demonstrates a light indentation piercing the finish slightly to the middle of the face. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Condition of Frets: This instrument has had a fret level and recrown to ensure the best playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
