A Lightweight Ash body is finished in an awesome Heavy Relic Nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The Quartersawn Maple neck has a super smooth and vintage feel. With a 9.5″ radius and 6100 frets, the ’53 Telecaster features a Large C profile which measures 0.875″ at the 1st fret and .950″ at the 12th; it feels comfortable and robust, just like a vintage Fender should. The original ’53 Telecaster’s are the stuff of legend, a real collector’s piece. The Fender Custom Shop ’53 Telecaster is as close you can get! A guitar that we have known since new having been regularly serviced at our service centre (12th Fret). All completely original and in terrific condition.
