Here for sale we have a Fender Limited Edition FSR Thinline Jaguar in 3-Color Sunburst finish. Made in Japan in 2014, this guitar features a bolt-on semi hollow construction comprising an Alder body with an Ash top, a Maple neck and a 22 Vintage-Style fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware consists of a Chrome American Vintage Floating Tremolo with Tremolo Lock Button, a Barrel saddle aftermarket bridge and a set of Fender Vintage-Style tuning machines. A pair of vintage-style Jaguar single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to the traditional Jaguar controls, with both rhythm and lead circuits featuring their own volume and tone controls, along with pickup slide switches and a tone circuit control for the lead circuit. The Gloss finished Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile which fills the hand nicely whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate lines and solos. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with the 7.25" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The Vintage Style frets assist with string bending and vibrato techniques, whilst also providing a vintage feeling. Acoustically this guitar has excellent resonance, with a nicely loud and airy tone. Amplified, the pair of vintage-style Jaguar single-coils deliver a bright and jangly tone in the lead circuit, with clean sounds ringing out with a sparkle and chime that make it clear why the Jaguar was adopted by surf players. The neck position is warmer, but still easily cuts through the mix. The rhythm circuit provides a darker tone from the neck pickup, adding an almost jazzy quality to your lead lines. Whilst unconventional in terms of switching, the Jaguar offers a seriously versatile set of tones that make it suitable for a wide range of genres.
