Built in the USA in 2022, this bass features a bolt-on construction Alder body, Satin finished Maple neck and topped with a 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured on this bass consists of a Fender 4-saddle HiMass Vintage bridge and a set of Lightweight Vintage-Style tuning machines. A pair of Fender Custom Shop ‘62 Precision Bass Split-coil pickups are wired to a master volume and master tone. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Modern ‘C’ profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning, whilst the Satin finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 9.5” radius and Narrow Tall frets allow for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The double cutaway and contoured body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst also making longer durations of playing a comfortable experience. The Fender Custom Shop has artfully reproduced the classic 1962 Precision Bass split-coil pickup to deliver the full booming lows, punchy midrange and clear high end of the bass that has been loved for over 60 years. It has deep, warm and rounded low ends that work well with the clear, precise mids and glistening trebles. There is plenty of grunt on offer, with a fast attack that will keep your playing front and centre. The simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone. These markings do not pierce the finish. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most notable to the rear face where early signs of buckle rash are apparent. The bottom edge demonstrates a small scuff towards the treble side, not piercing the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
