Here for sale we have a Fender Roadworn '50s Stratocaster in Road Worn Black finish. Made in Mexico in 2018, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 21 Narrow Tall fret Maple fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Nickel​/​Chrome hardware including a 6-point vintage-style Synchronized Tremolo bridge and Fender vintage-style tuning machines. The pickups installed are a trio of Seymour Duncan single-coils with a SSL-5 in the bridge and a pair of SSL-1 in the neck​/​middle, these are wired to a 5-Way Blade Switch, Master Volume, Neck Tone, Middle Tone and a added 'Gilmour Switch' Toggle to add the neck pickup The ‘Road Worn’ Maple neck plays very well, with a Soft 'V' profile that fills the hand whilst also sitting comfortably in the hand and provides a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience. The 7.25" fingerboard radius continues this theme, and when paired with the Narrow Tall size frets completes an authentic '50s specification that captures the character and vibe of those early Stratocasters for the modern player. The classic Stratocaster body contours feel as comfortable as ever, with the dual cutaways providing excellent access to the upper frets. The trio of Seymour Duncan single-coil pickups in this guitar provide all of the chime and articulation that made the Stratocaster a legendary instrument. Crystalline and bell-like, the pickups provide a crisp and clear tone with plenty of the spank that you would expect from a Strat.The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan SSL-5, a staggered overwound medium-output single-coil which was developed for Gilmour by Seymour Duncan. It treads the very fine line between increased output and classic Stratocaster tones, delivering the distinctive tone that we all know so well. The neck and middle pickups are also staggered and feature a more vintage-accurate output. Along with the 'Gilmour Switch' toggle, this combination of pickups offers a varied set of tones which can accurately recreate Gilmour's tone equally as well as it can allow you to explore sounds for yourself. The pickguard has been replaced with a black pickguard, the original is not included. The backplate is missing from the previous owner. The tremolo arm has been swapped for a Gilmour style short trem arm. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
