Here for sale we have a Freshman FA1AN electro-acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in China, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Laminated Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound, whilst the top features multi-stripe purfling and tortoiseshell rosette. A Fishman undersaddle piezo is installed, and is wired to a Fishman Isys 201 on-board preamp with controls for master volume, phase reverse & contour. The Mahogany neck plays well, with a profile which could be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape. This provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register, suitable for a wide range of playing styles & techniques. The Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 14" radius is as comfortable for chord playing as it is practical for melodic melodic lines and fingerstyle. The cutaway enhances access to the upper frets, opening up the full register of the instrument. The acoustic voice of the Freshman FA1AN is nicely balanced thanks to the relatively small size of the body. This keeps the bass response from being too overpowering as it can be with some larger bodied instruments. The mid range is open and clear, whilst the top end is bright and snappy. The addition of the undersaddle piezo pickup and on-board Fishman preamp provides the versatility required for live or recording situations, meaning this guitar is ready for all manner of musical situations. Luthier Report Our ID: 125022214141 Weight: 4.4lbs Serial: AAAF52939 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top rear edge demonstrates several indentations that chip the finish to the corners. Further lighter indentation is apparent to the perimeter of the rear edges. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates two notable indentations. One at the bass side of the bridge, and the other between the treble side waist and the strings. Both of these pierce the finish, chipping it away slightly and revealing the wood beneath. The satin finish shows wear at either side of the strings consistent with playwear. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to moderate scratching visible under direct lighting at certain angles. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
