Here for sale we have a Gibson 120th Anniversary SGJ ETune Electric Guitar in Satin Chocolate finish. Made in the USA in 2014, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-O-Matic bridge, a Gibson Self-Tuning ETune system with tulip buttons, a Gibson P-94 in the neck position, and a Gibson Classic '61 Humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The Maple neck is carved into a ‘50’s Rounded profile to give a really traditional feel whilst encouraging ergonomic thumb positioning for quick and easy navigation of the neck. The rounded profile fills the hand to make for a comfortable playing experience, aided further by the satin finish and smooth Rosewood fingerboard with a 12” radius provides a very smooth playing surface. The double cutaways provide excellent access to the upper frets, whilst the cryogenically treated Medium Jumbo fret wire provides stability, giving you plenty to work with when bending. The pickups in this guitar have been replaced with a Gibson P-94 in the neck position, and a Gibson Classic '61 Humbucker in the bridge position. The neck pickup is full and warm whilst remaining tight, and avoiding the ‘muddiness’ often associated with neck pickups. The bridge has a slightly hotter output which sounds great with light overdrive behind it, producing a biting tone which easily cuts through the mix for those rock rhythm sounds, all without sounding too harsh. The independent volume and tone controls make dialling in the perfect tone a breeze. Our ID: 1250825128781 Weight: 7.15lbs Serial: 140003195 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. The edges of the headstock display light indentations which do not pierce the finish, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the top treble side edge. Light scratching and haziness can be seen to the front face of the headstock. Neck: Mild scratching can be seen to the rear of the neck near the heel of the neck, these can be felt in the playing position and have partially broken through the finish. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching and indentations are present to all aspects of the body, these can be seen under close scrutiny with the most apparent being at the treble side edge. The satin finish in high contact areas has been lightly polished to a gloss texture through regular past use. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) not included. Hardware: Overall very good condition. A previous owner has installed a pickup cover to the bridge pickup, this display scratching. Mild scratching is present to the scratchplate which can be seen under direct light. The tune-o-matic bridge displays mild tarnishing of the finish through regular past use. A previous owner has replaced the control knobs with wooden ones, the original knobs are not included.
