For sale here we have a very special Gibson Custom Shop historic 1958 reissue Les Paul Standard. It has been given a stunning makeover by a renowned Japanese luthier to really bring out the top. If you are looking for something very special but with the thicker neck you usually find on the '58 plaintops, then this one is for you. It has been give a beautiful VOS nitrocellulose refinish (I will supply the details of the Japanese luthier upon request) and once it begins to age it will look even more amazing! So much mineral streaked maple grain and figured flame on this one that the pics don't really do it justice, but we have used the maximum available shots to get it from all angles. Complete with all case candy inc. certificate of authenticity booklet & hangtags. It has as a nicely streaked dark rosewood fingerboard and a nice chunky neck as you’d expect from a ’58. Nice and light for a non-chambered historic at 4.2kg! Obviously no issues at all, no breaks, repairs or modifications. Some wear with little bumps and scuffs etc so not mint. Complete with original historic pink velvet crush lined Lifton reissue hard shell case also in great condition.
