Here for sale we have a Gibson Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird Electric Bass Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 2023, this bass consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Hipshot Mini Clover tuners, a Hipshot Bass Bridge, Black Chrome hardware, a Mirror Plex pickguard, and a set of Gibson T-Bird Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two independent volume controls, and a master tone control. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Rounded profile allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning, whilst the Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck. The Ebony fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 12” radius and frets allow for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst also making longer durations of playing a comfortable experience. Amplified, the T-Bird Humbuckers provide a fantastic fundamental bass tone, with a deep rumbling low end that will fill out any mix. The mid range is warm and adds a distinct character to the tone, whilst the high end frequencies add a nice snappy fast attack. The individual volume controls allow you to blend the neck and bridge pickups in any combination, providing a versatile range of tones suitable for a multitude of musical settings.
