Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Junior in Tobacco Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2009, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including an ABR-1 bridge, StopBar tailpiece and Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. A single Gibson P 90 'Dog Ear' pickup is fitted in the bridge position and wired to master volume and tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as 'Rounded' that provides a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers and allows for easy reach across the fretboard. The traditional 12" fingerboard radius feels nicely balanced, offering comfort for chord playing and practicality for string bending and lead lines, whilst the Rosewood surface is pleasant under the fingers. At 7.6lbs, this guitar has a reassuring weight to it without reaching the kind of 'boat anchor' weight you might expect from a Les Paul Standard of the same era. The single P 90 pickup installed in this guitar delivers a punchy and thick tone, well suited to a wide range of styles. There is plenty of low end growl, whilst the brightness from being in the bridge position helps you to cut through the mix with ease. Falling somewhere between a single-coil and humbucker, the P 90 is a pickup that can handle both clean and distorted tones extremely well, and is very at home in the Les Paul Junior. Luthier Report Our ID: 1040825122820 Weight: 7.6lbs Serial: 002290505 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the headstock. Neck: Overall excellent condition, some white speckling is apparent to the bass side of the rear behind the 12th fret. We have been unable to remove this through regular cleaning. Body: Overall very condition, the bass side shoulder demonstrates some light scuffing and scratching on the front face, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The rear demonstrates some light indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Further white speckling is apparent to the sides and rear face. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) not included. Hardware: Excellent condition. Light scratching is apparent to the pickguard. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
