Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Special Electric Guitar that has been wrapped by the previous owner in a Carbon Fibre wrap. Made in the USA circa. 1998​/​99, this set-neck guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Gibson Deluxe Tulip tuners, a Tune-o-Matic bridge, Chrome hardware, and a pair of Gibson humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The Mahogany neck plays very well, feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand. The profile might be described as a 'D' shape, with a flattened area to the centre which assists with comfortable fretting and enhances the speed of your playing. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, adding a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques, as you would expect from a Les Paul. The lack of Maple cap on this guitar keeps the weight low, ensuring this is an instrument which is easy on the shoulders. The pair of Gibson humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full bodied tones, just as we all expect from Gibson. The neck position is warm and buttery, providing plenty of power for your lead and solo tones. The bridge position is of course brighter, saturating into a searing distortion tone when cranking the gain which is well suited to rock and blues rhythm parts and riffs. The traditional Les Paul control layout is as practical and versatile as ever, providing comprehensive control of your tone right on the guitar. The sides and rear of the headstock are wrapped with carbon fibre, obscuring the serial number and any other markings that may be beneath. Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates light markings throughout the register which are difficult to discern from the fingerboard. The carbon fibre layer is uneven along the edges of the fingerboard and can be felt in playing position. The rear of the neck are wrapped with carbon fibre, obscuring any markings that may be beneath. Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body are wrapped with carbon fibre, obscuring any markings that may be beneath.
