Gibson Les Paul Standard Honey Burst 1996 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Standard in Honey Burst finish. Made in the USA in the famed ‘Good Wood Era’ where Gibson improved both the quality of manufacturing and the instruments they created, Gibson produced what some people arguably would call the best Gibson’s produced. Naturally this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Plain Maple top, Mahogany neck and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and a Stop Bar tailpiece. A set of Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone Buttons are featured along with a Gibson 490T in the bridge and a Gibson 490R in the neck position, these are wired to the standard Les Paul control layout. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 60’s profile filling the hand without being overly thick, this offers a balanced and smooth playing experience. The Medium Jumbo frets and 12" radius provide a robust and smooth playing experience all across the deeply rich Rosewood fingerboard, and enhance string bending and vibrato techniques. The single cutaway body design allows the player to access the higher register with ease, allowing for fast lead lines without any obstruction. The Gibson pickups in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The Classic Les Paul wiring offers familiar territory and provides plenty of versatility without any complicated switching, making this instrument great for tonal sculpting to the players desired taste. Another perfect example of Gibson proving why the guitars they produced in the ‘Good Wood Era’ are second to none.
