Built in the USA in 2012, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Chambered Mahogany body with a Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Black Obeche fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with Chrome hardware including an Aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece along with Gibson Deluxe Kluson style tuning machines. The pickups are a pair of Gibson 490R, Gibson 498T humbuckers, wired to the standard Les Paul control layout. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Rounded’ profile feeling slender and easily manoeuvrable and providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Black Obeche fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore. The 12” radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for bending and vibrato techniques. The familiar lines of the body feel great in the arms, whilst the Chambered weight relief makes this Les Paul feel sprightly on the shoulders at just 7.8lbs. The Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for blasting your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange which is great for chordal styles of playing as it delivers plenty of clarity. The Burstbucker Pro humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with its punchy output for a searing distortion sound on your rhythm parts. The traditional Les Paul controls provide ample control of your sound right on the instrument. The treble side edge of the front face demonstrates a small chip which reveals the base coat beneath. Neck: Overall very good condition, a patch of finish has begun to wear through to bare wood in the middle register of the rear of the neck towards the bass side. This cannot be felt under the thumb. The rear of the neck has buffed to a gloss through regular use. Body: Overall very good condition, the rear face demonstrates scratching and indentation consistent with buckle rash across the entire face. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation, difficult to discern against the natural grain, Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.
