Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Wine Red finish. Built in the USA in 2008, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with Chrome hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece along with Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. The Pickups are a pair of Gibson 490R, Gibson 498T Humbuckers, wired to a bridge volume and tone and a neck volume and tone controls. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the profile resembling a rounded 50s filling the hand without feeling too cumbersome, providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium Jumbo frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The familiar lines of the body feel great in the arms, whilst the single cutaway body design provides the player with unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those high end lead lines. The Gibson 490R humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The 498T humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. Further indentation is apparent across the top edge. The front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout the register which cannot be felt under the thumb. Body: Overall very good condition, very light scratching is apparent to all aspects of the body, most notably the treble side edges of the lower bout. All finish demonstrates Nitro Checking, common for instruments finished in nitrocellulose. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability.
