Here for sale we have a Gibson Melody Maker in Satin Ebony finish. Built in the USA in 2007 this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with an adjustable wraparound bridge and a set of Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Gibson Single-coils which are wired to a master volume and master tone control. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Rounded profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck is very pleasant to the touch, and assists with smooth transitions up and down the neck, whilst the traditional 12" fingerboard radius feels as flat and consistent as ever, offering comfortable playability right the way up the neck. The single body cutaway aids in access to the higher frets, whilst the lightweight body design makes longer durations of playing a breeze. The pair of Gibson Single-Coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver a thick and full throaty tone, with a warm low end and driving midrange that is complimented well by crisp and cutting highs. The roundness of the neck pickup is perfect for solo tones, whilst the brightness of the bridge position will put your rhythm playing front and centre in the mix. The pickups are fantastic for pushing the front end of an amplifier, whilst offering excellent dynamic control. The simple control layout is not intrusive to the playing experience and offers comprehensive control of your tone. A small indentation which has pierced through the finish is present to the treble side edge near the G tuning machine, this exposes a small patch of wood beneath. It is difficult to discern any other markings to the headstock. Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck has buffed to a gloss from regular use. Body: Overall very good condition, a notable patch of nitro burn is apparent to the back of the body, with the body wood beginning to be visible through the finish. The bottom edge and lower bout of the front face demonstrate light indentation. The finish has begun to wear away slightly to the bass side edge of the lower bout. Light indentations can be seen to the treble side of the rear faces, these have not pierced the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) not included. Hardware: Very good condition.
