Made in Canada in 2019, this bolt-on constructed bass consists of a Chambered Canadian Laurentian Basswood with a Maple Leaftop top, a Hard Rock Maple neck, and a 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-o-matic bridge, a Brass Stop tailpiece, and a pair of Godin Kingpin Bass P90 Alnico single coil pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector. The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the Medium ‘C’ profile feeling chunky without being cumbersome, offering a dependable grip whilst also providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 12” radius allows for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst the chambered construction also makes longer durations of playing a comfortable experience. The chambered construction provides an open airiness to the sound which makes the instrument suitable for a wide range of genres whilst retaining a unique voice.
