Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5125 Electromatic Hollow Body Electric Guitar. Made in Korea in 2006, this hollow-body constructed guitar consists of a Laminated Maple body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Bigsby tailpiece, aftermarket Grover tuners, and a pair of aftermarket TV Jones humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, bridge volume, neck volume, master tone, and a 3-way pickup selector. The Gloss finished Standard "U" neck profile feels smooth and comfortable in the hand offering a neck which is slim enough to provide practicality for speedy lead lines. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth surface under the fingers, whilst the 12" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and technical playing. Medium Jumbo frets offer the player the best of both worlds; being great for vibrato and string bending techniques whilst also retaining an authentic vintage feel. The Cutaway design also gives the player extended reach into the upper register of the 22 frets making this guitar an effective instrument for a range of genres and styles. Amplified, the hollow-body construction of this guitar helps to deliver an open and airy tone that is uniquely Gretsch. The pair of TV Jones humbucking pickups provide a thick and full-bodied tone, well suited to a wide range of genres yet retaining their own unique voice. The neck pickup is round and warm, delivering a smooth tone with plenty of power for pushing your solos and melody lines to the front of the mix. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, and with a higher output can handle a surprising amount of gain for a seriously rockin' tone. The master volume control is a welcome addition which allows you to control feedback on stage. Our ID: 1190625110041 Weight: 7.45lbs Serial: KP06010365 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall good condition, all aspects of the headstock demonstrate very consistent light scratching, causing a light hazing of the finish. The finish also demonstrates some clouding, discoloring the front face. The top edge demonstrates several light to moderate indentations, chipping the finish in places. This continues to a lesser degree around the perimeter of the headstock. The rear face demonstrates some imprinting in the finish from the footprint of the original tuners. Neck: Overall very good condition, the fingerboard demonstrates indentations consistent with regular playwear in the early frets, improving as you climb the register. These cannot be felt under the string and do not impact the playability of the instrument. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching throughout the register which cannot be felt under the thumb and is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Body: Overall good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light to moderate scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most notable surrounding the pickup selector switch, and on the rear face consistent with buckle rash. The front bass side shoulder demonstrates a moderate indentation piercing the finish slightly. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with some indentation in the early frets and flattening of the crowns throughout the register. This does not affect playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear, most notably oxidation to the pickup covers and mounting plates. The tuners have been replaced for Grovers, with the Gretsch Style Button.
