Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5420T Hollowbody Electric Guitar in Aspen Green finish. Made in Korea in 2014, this set-neck constructed guitar features a 5-Layer Laminated Maple body, Maple neck, and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with a Chrome finished hardware including a Bigsby B60 tailpiece, Adjusto-Matic bridge with Rosewood base and Vintage-Style Open-Back machine heads. The pickups installed are a pair of Black Top Filter’Tron, these are wired to a 3-way selector, master volume, master tone, neck volume and a bridge volume. The Gloss finished Standard "U" neck profile feels smooth and comfortable in the hand offering a neck which is slim enough to provide practicality for speedy lead lines. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth surface under the fingers, whilst the 12" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and technical playing. Medium Jumbo frets offer the player the best of both worlds; being great for vibrato and string bending techniques whilst also retaining an authentic vintage feel. The Cutaway design also gives the player extended reach into the upper register of the 22 frets making this guitar an effective instrument for a range of genres and styles. The Black Top Filter’Tron pickups produce a variety of tones, sounding excellent on clean and slightly overdriven settings, highly suitable for jazz, blues, country or even rock genres. The neck pickup delivers a deep, warm tone that offers clear and rounded notes. The bridge pickup gives the player a more jangly and trebly tone that provides a punchy high-mid range, however the blending of the pickups gives the best of both worlds in the middle position. The hollow body resonates well, with the Laminated Maple top generating a snappy and responsive feel without losing the depth of the bass and punchy mid tones. Our ID: 1060725114705 Weight: 7.7lbs Serial: KS14023254 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face displays scratching throughout, with much being consistent with tooling marks from the machine head washers being removed. Light scratching can also be seen on the top edge. Neck: Overall excellent condition. Any markings are difficult to discern aside from some very light finish imperfection to the rear of the neck behind the 4th fret, which cannot be felt underhand. Body: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching can be seen on the body under very close scrutiny as is common with gloss finishes. There are a small number of finish imperfections visible to the body, all of which are the size of a pin head and do not at all detract from the aesthetic of the instrument. Condition of Frets: The frets display minimal signs of wear. There is substantial material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
