Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Orange Stain finish. Made in Korea in 2013, this set-neck constructed Guitar consists of a Laminated Maple body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Bigsby B60 tailpiece, Adjusto-Matic bridge with Rosewood base and Vintage-Style Open-Back machine heads. The pickups installed are a pair of TV Jones 'Brian Setzer' Filter'Trons, these are wired to a 3-way selector, master volume, master tone, neck volume and a bridge volume. The Gloss finished thin "U" neck profile feels smooth and comfortable in the hand offering a neck which is slim enough to provide practicality for speedy lead lines. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth surface under the fingers, whilst the 12" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and technical playing. Medium Jumbo frets offer the player the best of both worlds; being great for vibrato and string bending techniques whilst also retaining an authentic vintage feel. The Cutaway design also gives the player extended reach into the upper register of the 22 frets making this guitar an effective instrument for a range of genres and styles. The Upgraded TV Jones 'Brian Setzer' Filter'Tron pickups produce a variety of tones, sounding excellent on clean and slightly overdriven settings, highly suitable for jazz, blues, country or even rock genres. The neck pickup delivers a deep, warm tone that offers clear and rounded notes. The bridge pickup gives the player a more jangly and trebly tone that provides a punchy high-mid range, however the blending of the pickups gives the best of both worlds in the middle position. The hollow body resonates well, with the Laminated Maple top generating a snappy and responsive feel without losing the depth of the bass and punchy mid tones. Our ID: 106022576272 Weight: 7.35lbs Serial: KS13014183 Aesthetic Condition: Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light to moderate scratching, most notably towards the top treble side corner. The top edge demonstrates some scuffing which we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning. Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard. Body: Overall very good condition, some light scratching can be identified surrounding the 3 way toggle switch. The rear demonstrates a mild buckle rash that does not pierce the finish. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. Hardware: Fully functional with very light signs of wear. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
