Here for sale we have a Gretsch G6117T-HT Anniversary hollow-body electric guitar in Sunburst finish. Made in Japan in 2010, this guitar is a reissue of the famous 'Double Anniversary' models that came out in 1958, so named for Gretsch's 75th anniversary and the 'double' pickup configuration. Made in Japan in 2010, this instrument features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple hollow body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including a Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece, Gretsch Space Control bridge and Grover Sta-Tite die-cast open-geared tuning machines. A pair of Gretsch Hilo'Tron single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle selector switch, 3-way tone switch, master volume, neck volume & bridge volume controls. The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile which might be described as a moderately-sized 'V' shape. This provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register whilst promoting ergonomic thumb positioning as you transition from the bass strings to treble. The gloss finish to the rear assists with navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the single-cutaway body design enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The pair of Gretsch Hilo'Tron single-coil pickups deliver bright and clear tones, with plenty of chime and spank when required. With independent volume controls, it is possible to blend the pickups in an infinite number of combinations. anything from rockabilly, blues or jazz tones are available here, whilst the hollow-body construction keeps the playing experience lively and responsive. The 3-way tone switch offers 3 voices, providing an unfettered signal from the pickups, stronger bass response or slight treble roll off. In conjunction with the other controls, there are an incredible variety of tones on offer with this instrument. A very light indentation which does not pierce the finish is present to the front face below the headstock logo, near the D tuner. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is typical of high gloss finish. Neck: Overall excellent condition. Light scratching to the rear of the neck is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern. Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching to the front face is most notable to the bass side shoulder near the toggle switches. Light indentation which does not pierce the finish can be seen near the bass & treble controls. Very light scratching to the centre of the rear face does not pierce the finish. This is consistent with light buckle rash. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with some light indentation in the early register that does not affect playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5​/​16" socket) included.
