The Gretsch G6136-55 Vintage Select Edition '55 White Falcon is a premium hollow-body electric guitar crafted to deliver the authentic sound, style, and playability of the original 1955 model. Part of Gretsch’s Professional Collection, this guitar is a tribute to the original White Falcon designed by Jimmie Webster, offering the same stunning aesthetic and tonal versatility that has made it an enduring icon. It features a large, single-cutaway hollow body made with a solid spruce top and laminated maple back and sides, finished in a striking white lacquer. The gold hardware, anodized pickguard, and Cadillac tailpiece add to its unmistakable vintage charm. Parallel tone bars reinforce the spruce top, ensuring a robust and balanced sound. The neck is a comfortable "U" profile, with a bound ebony fingerboard adorned with Mother of Pearl humpblock inlays featuring feather engravings. The 12" radius and 22 frets make the guitar ideal for smooth, fluid playability. For pickups, the G6136-55 is equipped with TV Jones T-Armond single-coils, which deliver transparent and articulate tones. These are complemented by individual volume controls for each pickup, a master tone, and a master volume knob, allowing for precise tonal adjustments. The hardware includes a Synchro-Sonic bridge for excellent intonation and Grover Imperial die-cast tuners for tuning stability. The guitar has been fully set up and restrung by our in-house technician and includes its original hard case.
