Here for sale we have an Ibanez ART120 in Transparent Red Flat finish. Crafted in China in 2010, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with a Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. It is fitted with a Gibraltar IIIand a Quik Change III tailpiece as well as sealed tuning machines. The pickups are a pair of Ibanez LoZ1 humbuckers, wired to a 3-way selector, independent volume controls and a master tone control. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘ART’ profile feeling fast and smooth, whilst the Gloss finish to the rear offers effortless transitions into any position. The Purpleheart fingerboard provides a luxurious and durable playing surface, and with its 12" radius offers a perfect marriage between comfortable playability and modern practicality. The single cut-away design provides the player with uninhibited access to the upper register. The Ibanez humbuckers provide a full and thick tone. The neck position is warm and rich, with shimmering clean sounds readily available. The middle selection provides a balanced clean tone, whilst the bridge is nicely bright for rock crunch sounds. When driving the amp, the pickups provide a rich harmonically saturated distortion, with enough bite in the bridge for screaming metal sounds and fantastic solo tones in the neck position. Light scratching is present to the front and rear face, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the front face. Small chipping to the finish is present to the top side edge. Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching is present to the rear of the neck, only visible under direct light from certain angles. This is most noticeable to the mid register and can not be felt under the thumb in playing position. Denting which has broken the finish is present to the rear of the neck, behind the 11th fret, This can be felt under the thumb in playing position. Body: Overall good condition. Scratching and denting is present to all surfaces of the body, mostly visible only under direct light. This is most noticeable to the lower bout side edge. Condition of Frets: The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. Current Set Up: Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm) Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The strap button on the lower bout side edge is missing. Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
