Ibanez JEM505 Black 2010 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have an Ibanez JEM505 Electric Guitar in Black finish. Made in Japan in 2010, this bolt-on constructed guitar consists of a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 24-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include an Edge Tremolo bridge, a Top-Lok III nut, Cosmo Black hardware, and a set of Ibanez HSH pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way pickup selector. This guitar has also been signed twice by Steve Vai on two separate occasions and comes with memorabilia from the 2016 'Passion and Warfare' 25th Anniversary tour. The Maple neck plays fantastically well, as you would expect from Steve Vai and Ibanez. The 'JEM' profile could be described as a shallow 'D' shape which provides a nicely flattened area to the centre. This ensures lightning fast playability and easy reach in all registers. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 17" radius delivers a flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register, well suited to the fast articulate playing Vai is known for. The Jumbo frets enhance the feel of string bending and vibrato techniques whilst also reducing the pressure required to fret a note. The Edge tremolo system paired with a deepened body cavity can handle all of your dive-bombing and guitar acrobatics with astonishing ease whilst retaining excellent tuning stability and adjustability. The HSH pickup configuration makes this a surprisingly versatile guitar, with the middle single coil pickup perfectly capable of producing more delicate clean tones, with high gain screaming lead tones available when switching to the bridge position. The neck is a little beefier for some smoother tones meaning that a wide variety of styles are within reach with this guitar. The Ibanez pickups provide a focused response when riffing, alongside a full-sounding range of tone when playing big open chords.
